About Ohana Sunshine

We’re KK and Chu—founders of Ohana Sunshine, real-life sisters, best friends, and lifelong picky-sock people. Our sock drawers used to overflow with “almost” socks—pairs that slipped, scratched, or sprouted holes way too soon. We kept wondering: how could something so simple be so hard to get right?
When the world slowed down in 2020, our daily phone chats uncovered a shared frustration: socks that just never felt right. So one day, we stopped complaining and started creating the ones we’d always dreamed of. Two years (and countless prototypes) later, we launched Ohana Sunshine—a small-but-mighty brand rooted in comfort, care, and connection.
“Ohana” means family, and to us, it’s bigger than blood. It’s about making everyday life a little softer, easier, and more joyful—and sharing that feeling with anyone who needs a great pair of socks.

Why Socks
Socks set the tone for your whole day. If they’re uncomfortable, everything feels a little off. That’s why we obsess over the little things—fit, feel, and comfort.
Our goal is simple: to make socks that feel like a hug. Whether you're walking, working, or winding down, this small everyday essential has the power to lift your mood.

Giving Back
In 2022, KK began volunteering at animal shelters and fostering dogs at risk of euthanasia across LA County. It quickly became clear—if we were building something rooted in care, giving back had to be part of it.
Now, with every purchase, a portion of proceeds supports the Ventura County Animal Shelter. Socks that give back? That’s exactly the kind we’d want to wear.
